PyOSP (Python Object-oriented Swath Profile) is an intelligent swath tool that can characterize complex topographic features. It can objectively characterize complex geomorphic boundaries using elevation, slope angle, topographic position index (TPI), or other raster calculations by intelligently assimilating geo-processing information into swath analysis.
PyOSP is created at Kentucky Geological Survey Digital Earth Analysis Lab, by Dr. Zhu and geoinformatics experts Drs. Jason Dortch, Matthew Massey, and Doug Curl. The library overcomes many limitations of traditional swath method while enhancing the accuracy and reproducibility of swath analysis.
